'Made to Crave' Women's Bible Study

Image of the book "Made to Crave"

Thursday, February 9 - 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall;
also Thursday, February 23 - 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall

You still have time to join this new study based on the New York Times bestseller by Lysa TerKeurst, president of Proverbs 31 Ministries. From the publisher:

"Craving isn't a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. Many of us have misplaced that craving by overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. If you are struggling with unhealthy eating habits, you can break the 'I'll start again Monday' cycle, and start feeling good about yourself today."

The study is based on a DVD with six sessions and will meet every other week to allow us time to complete the assigned reading and "homework." Please plan to purchase the book to participate. Pam Jackson can answer any questions you may have.

Pastoral Candidate Visit

Wednesday, February 15 - 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall

Recently the Church Board extended a call to James O'Connell to meet with the Fairview congregation as our potential senior pastor. He and his family will come to Nampa on February 15 to enjoy dinner with us, preach, and answer questions. If all is favorable and the O'Connells sense a clear call, we will then have a vote of the church members. Please feel free to talk with any Board member if you have questions.

UN-Valentine's Dinner

Friday, February 17 - 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall

Come out and enjoy a lovely dinner and entertainment with your significant other! Taking the place of our monthly Craft Night, this adults-only event is sponsored by Women's Ministries. All proceeds will go to support that ministry.

One of the fun traditions with the Caravan scouting program is an annual Pinewood Derby, where the children make their own cars and have a race! The children will design, cut out and sand their cars during Caravan time on the 22nd, then finish the prep work and paint their cards on the 25th. The race will be held on the 29th.

Missions Offering

Alabaster goes to support building projects worldwide

Sunday, February 26 - 10:45 AM in the Sanctuary

Fairview is part of the Church of the Nazarene, a denomination with members all around  the globe. Our semi-annual Alabaster Offering is one way to support the many building projects, such as in areas where no church facility exists or where an update is necessary. We invite everyone to bring an offering for this worthy effort.

Chick Chat

Chick Chat

Snacks, games and casual conversation equal a fun night out for all women regardless of age.

Caravan Blue and White Dinner, Pinewood Derby

Caravan program

Wednesday, February 29 - 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall

Kids in the Caravan program would like to thank all their leaders and helpers, and this is traditionally done with a Blue & White Dinner - named for the colors of this Christian scouting program. Afterward, we'll enjoy the annual Pinewood Derby car race. See Pastor Nathan if you have any questions.
