Interim Pastor - Rev. Jim Lester
Pastor Jim Lester is serving Fairview Church of the Nazarene as transitional pastor.
Pastor Jim graduated from Pasadena Nazarene College in 1971 and became a youth pastor. Around the same time, Pastor Jim and Ellen met at a singles retreat and married after a year of dating. In November 2011 they will celebrate 40 years of marriage! They have two sons in their late 30s, Christopher and Steven, with four grandchildren between them. Both sons and their families live in the area, and Jim and Ellen enjoy spending as much time with them as possible!
Before coming to Fairview for this interim period as we search for a long-term minister, Pastor Jim and Ellen led congregations in Great Falls, Montana for 9 years, on the Illinois District for 17 years, and the Missouri District for 2 years. Pastor Jim also led the congregation at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene here in Nampa for almost 11 years.
Pastor Jim and Ellen enjoy reading for pleasure, going on long drives to explore, spending time with their children and grandchildren, and visiting the Oregon Coast. Ellen also enjoys rubber stamping.

Family Life Pastor - Nathan Hunter
Nathan Hunter joined us in April 2011 as our Family Life Pastor with an emphasis on Children's Ministry.
A fan of football, Disney movies, board games and author Ted Dekker, Nathan came to Fairview from a long-term internship at Valley Shepherd Nazarene in Meridian. He is a student at Northwest Nazarene University and plays in the Concert Band. For the past several summers, Nathan's been a familiar face at Trinity Pines campground in Cascade. He serves the Intermountain District Church of the Nazarene as Children's Bible Quizzing Director.
Pastor Nathan loves children and teens, and they tend to really love him back (his nickname at camp? Nate the Great!) Bring your kids to meet him and you'll see how infectious is his love for them and for Jesus Christ.
